Meet The Doctors

Dr. Pat Macauley

Chiropractor

Growing up in St. Louis, I was heavily involved with sports such as basketball, baseball and soccer. It was my life, and I loved each and every minute of it. Little did I know, however, that this love for sports would have such a significant influence on the kind of work I wanted to do in the future. It took me awhile to realize this, though. When I first got to undergraduate school at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to study. Thinking something in business might suit me, I chose Accounting. It didn’t take me long to realize that this was not for me, and I quickly changed majors to Exercise Science with plans to attend Physical Therapy school in the future. After moving back home after two years of school and playing soccer at Bellarmine, I decided to look into Chiropractic. I had never been adjusted before and didn’t know much about it, but I was very intrigued by what I learned while taking a tour at Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri.

While attending Logan, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Life Science as well as a Doctorate in Chiropractic. It was shortly after beginning the DC program, however, that I knew I had found myself the perfect fit. Through my love of sports, I realized I needed to work in a field that allowed me to interact with people and help them live more active healthier lives. Learning about the human body and how it functions was incredible, especially how the nervous system is vital to our existence. It made perfect sense to me that in order to maximize health and functionality, an optimized nervous system is an absolute necessity. It allows the body to be self-healing, which is exactly what chiropractic looks to preserve.

Regardless of how I am feeling, I always get adjusted at least once per week. This proactive approach makes me feel great as it prevents most aches and pains from occurring in the first place, which allows me to enjoy life more. I am married with two young children, and spending time with my family doing fun things is one of my greatest joys in life. Having them provides extra motivation to live a healthy lifestyle because I want them to live healthy lives as well. In this manner, it is my goal to help as many people as I can have the highest quality of life possible.
